Following a batch of app updates, a few have become unresponsive and fail to open.

We have seen this on Padlet, SMHW, Showbie and GoodNotes, although others may also be affacted.

Generally, the only way to resolve this is to delete the all and re-download it from the App Catalogue.

For many apps, such as SMHW and Showbie, this is no issue as all the data comes from the ‘cloud’ when you log in.

For other apps such as GoodNotes, it will not be a problem if you followed the instructions earlier in the year to ensure iCloud backup is switched on and/or you are backup up on Google Drive (details are available on this support website). If you are unsure, please seek help from ICT support BEFORE deleting the apps.
