The biggest problem with mail seems to be the fact you only see very recent emails by default. This is very easy to fix to making a small change in the mail settings.

To view mail for a longer period of time, follow these simple steps:

  • Go into the Settings App

  • Scroll down and tap on Mail

  • On the right side of the screen, tap on Accounts

  • Tap on your school email account

  • Change the ‘Mail Days to Sync’ option to No Limit (or 1 Month if that is enough).

Now check your mail app and older emails will start to appear.

Remember – you can search for older mail at any time by using the search tool at the top of the inbox list.

If your Email account has been deleted from your iPad you can add it by following these steps…

  • Open Mail App

  • Select Exchange

  • Enter school email address <username>

  • Enter a description e.g. School

  • Press Next

  • Press Sign In and you will be taken to the London Grid For Learning Sign In page

  • Enter your email password and press Sign In

  • Save the Password

  • On the iOS Accounts window press Accept

  • You will then be taken back to the iOS Mail app

  • Press Save

  • After a few seconds your emails will appear in the Inbox
