Dependent on individual needs based on their EHCP, a range of therapy may be offered as part of their curriculum timetable. For example, Drama therapy, Occupational therapy, Speech and language therapy or an Education Psychologist.
Currently, we work with Your Health, who provide Speech and Language Therapy either 1:1 and small group work. During the term the Speech and Language therapist assesses new and existing students with speech and language needs on their statements. The therapist also runs weekly Communication Skills groups and recommends strategies staff can use to support students in class.
