The Prayer Resources for Tutor Groups are now available as an iPad app - called Morning Prayers and via the Morning Prayer section of this website. 

The static booklet for each week is downloadable below.

Guide to Collective Worship

An act of worship should be made every morning. This should include:

1. Invitation – to mark the entry into prayer, like standing up and making the Sign of the Cross

2. Time for Reflection - a pause for reflection on the question for the day

3. Led and Collective Prayer

   • joint reading of the quote from the Bible

   • an individual (a student or teacher) reading a prayer for the day

4. Clear links with Spiritual/Moral Development or Catholic Ethos – This happens automatically if following the Morning Prayer app, booklet, or Spirituality Blog. Alternatively please ensure that the theme is an appropriate one in line with the School’s Catholic Ethos, also where possible try to keep the theme in line with the Liturgical Calendar.

The prayers/reflections can be taken from the Morning Prayer App/Website or from this selection of common Catholic prayers.

In addition, it is expected that the act of Collective Worship should:

• Be organised and well led

• Create an appropriate atmosphere

• Pupils should show respect & a good level of behaviour
