7. The Xavier Centre (MLD Post 16 Unit)

The Xavier Centre text

The Xavier Centre is a post-16 provision for students with moderate learning difficulties (MLD), situated within Richard Challoner School. 

We aim to develop independence, social communication skills and life skills as well as functional literacy and numeracy within a friendly, supportive environment. 

Admission to The Xavier Centre is open to students who:

Are the subject of an Education, Health and Care Plan
Have a primary need of MLD and are working at entry levels
Are currently in Year 11 and seeking a placement for the next academic year
