Richard Challoner School

Message from Headmaster

As we come to the end of an emotionally draining week I want to thank everyone in our Challoner community for their support, understanding, hard work and friendship. In the weeks ahead this sense of togetherness will be what gets us through.

You will have received a communication from Mr Webber this evening, outlining the plans we have put in place to support you as families and our young people with their education and mental wellbeing. I hope that you will see that the decision to close the school slightly earlier has allowed staff the time to collaborate carefully on putting together a thoughtful and considered distance learning and support package.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you as we endeavour to manage this unprecedented situation. Today’s gospel reminded us that we should love our neighbours as we love ourselves. This probably has never been, and never will be, more important during our lifetime.

With my grateful thanks for your continued support.
